I was in the same bootcamp as Foreplay and would like to testify that it was an equally eye-opening experience.
I'm a skinny Asian guy who grew up in Nebraska and California. I was actually well liked in high school because I was all-state track star. This was around that I had my first girlfriend. I was an NCAA collegiate runner for Kansas State. Numerous ankle and heel injuries caused me to give up a possible professional career. In college, my social skills declined dramatically. I started shunning a lot of people and took up pot to ease the depression of not running anymore. After college, I worked for the entertainment industry and moved my way up to talent agent for a mid-size talent agency. After eeking out a lonely and hard life as an agent, I decided to go back to graduate school. That's where I am now in my life.
Before coming to the workshops, the only way I could get laid was hanging out with a bunch of stoner girls and preying on them with my goodie bag at the university I attend. It's not a bad way of getting laid, but there is definitely an emptiness to this. This meant that I was still a social monkey in the land of human interactions.
Same story: I was the guy who would go to parties, help earthquake insurance policies by holding up walls for so long that I would become a fixture. My dating life is few and far in-between. I've had 3 girlfriends, but looking back, there were always through social circles and none of these girls were girls I could've gotten on my own. Sorry bad grammar, and it's late.
Also, I'm not the kind of person who can't bankroll an expensive seminar like this. I admit that I'm a struggling graduate student who works part-time as a recruiter for a videogame/software company. Money doesn't come easily, but this seminar was worth it for me.
Originally, Savoy and Sinn were supposed to teach this class. I was really looking forward to meeting both of them. Sinn is rumored to be master-class in the field and Savoy has unbelievable game and wrote the now-legendary "Magic Bullets".
Unfortunately Sinn was pulled away and Savoy was left teaching the class.
Savoy's game is so highly advanced that teaching the various parts of the MM and Seduction was just second nature for him. Yes, I agree with Foreplay that he seemed a bit bored, but I also noted that teaching these classes gave him something to strive for in terms of keeping this community alive. Savoy seemed to lighten up more during the grouping sessions where each student received individualized training. He's a top-notch teacher and if you, as a student, don't come away with any practical knowledge, you may have to point the finger at yourself as a poor student or a lack of willingness to not drink the "kool-aid". Witnessing Savoy in the field was like watching a field general deploy his units around. Soon the enemy were giving up their white flags (or panties, in this case) and he had won the battle. His "leader of men" analogy put into action.
Also on hand was Braddock. Braddock was simply amazing to watch in the field. It seemed effortless for him to attract and segway directly into comfort with seamless effort. He was able to give me great advice. I have zero edge and instead of telling me to go crazy with my wardrobe or do outrageous things that would cause people to notice me, Braddock mentioned that I should play it ultra-cool and smooth. He mentioned that I should behave like there were no worries in the world. This helped my fetus-like game, and more importantly, my confidence. Braddock is top-notch and I would advise anyone who is with him, to study him with a keen eye.
Dahunter was a natural. I know that he mentioned that in his history that he was just as timid as the rest of us and that he was blown out of a record number of sets, but it was really hard to believe. His kino was the best I've witnessed so far. I'm convinced he's studied a little NLP because I noticed that he often would copy the girls' movements and soon after the girls were mimic-ing him. Mere minutes later Dahunter had the girls following him around on an invisible leash. At the seminars, he gave good advice about how to present yourself and to exude confidence and pounded in our heads to always avoid ackwardness. Good stuff from a great teacher.
El Topo was a favorite in the field by many of the fellow students. What I liked about him was that he was genuinely enthusiastic. Braddock was always able to match that energy, but El Topo was our bug in our ear to not remain static and to flow through the rooms in the club. He really pushed me to open sets, come up with new openers and immediately re-try everything. Also, this isn't a knock on El Topo, but I felt that because he had a more down-to-earth look to him that made me feel more comfortable about approaching. He dressed well, had a great haircut but looked like any guy off the street. In contrast, I thought Savoy, Braddock and Dahunter looked like actors and/or models who didn't have to work hard on their looks. What I'm trying to convey is that El Topo has inspired me to look at the way I'm presenting myself in the world and re-frame the way I look and dress to make myself more appealing to women.
I'll end this by saying that no miracles happen overnight. I struggled Friday and Saturday night to open and transition. I opened five sets on Friday and was blown out of four and found success in one, until her boyfriend showed up. It was a great experience, though, I learned that mixed sets aren't anything to shirk from. On Saturday night, it was a disaster for me. I was blown out of all four sets that I opened. I'm talking record-setting blow-outs, like King Kong Bundy squashing "Special Delivery" Jones in 9 seconds at Wrestlemania 1 bad. Pro wrestling is fake but the world is real. I have to work on open anxiety and find a new opening. This is a long journey ahead of me. I'm definitely no natural.
I'm going out with Foreplay and the rest of the boys every weekend, wallet-permitting. I hope to see some of you out in the field and thank you Savoy, Braddock, Dahunter and El Topo for the great advise.
